Pont des Arts

I never tire of photographing this bridge now that it has been rid of the zillions of horrible "love locks". Merci to the City of Paris for tackling this expensive and time consuming task. Thankfully now more bridges are being rid of the weight and destruction due to the lock craze. Make love... not locks!

I agree! I couldn't believe tourists persisted in mindlessly defacing the bridges with those things long after their negative effects were made very, very clear to the public. Rude and selfish - but now, how nice the bridges look! Thanks for this photo update!

Thanks for the clean bridge!

Great perspective! A pedestrian bridge here seems to attract them. I think they're a blight.

Just got back from a month there. They still put locks on everything they can. I guess it's a tradition they don't want to let die. They get kind of creative in finding places to put their locks now. As long as it's near a bridge, you'll find some locks!
